Follow Friday #2

"Follow Friday" is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog. Don’t forget to comment and leave your link so I can return your follows.

Q. Talk about the book that most changed or influenced your life (was it a book that turned you from an average to avid reader, did it help you deal with a particularly difficult situation, does it bring you comfort every time you read it?).

ANS. Well I might sound like a obsessive girl but i's say it was the HARRY POTTER series by Jo Rowling that changed my life...or more preciously turned me into a book junkie....and that is definitely not a bad thing I tell you, it definitely isn't. Before Harry Potter was introduced to me I wasn't really into books - one or two a year were fine then and I mostly used to read fairytales, Enid Blyton or Nancy Drew. But the wizarding world really changed my life. Harry's world maybe fiction but it brought to life every other imagination of us muggles ;-) ..... but the one most important thing that it taught me was the lesson about friendship - well if you have friends like Ron and Hermione who are ready to go the end of the world with you.....well damn your lucky :-)

  1. Thanks for stopping by. I'm following you back.
I see you are from India. That reminded me of another book that I LOVED... Sister of My Heart
by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. I think it is an awesome book. I want to go add it to my post but i guess that would be cheating. LOL. The Harry Potter books hold a special place in my heart as I read them with my sons.

  7. Harry Potter is a great series. My children adored them. I had seen the movies first...so I didn't read them. Just one of my quirks. LOL!

  8. Hi, there! I've just become a follower!

LOVE your header!!!!! It's MIND-BLOWING!!! I also LOVE your choice of book to answer this question!! Although I didn't mention the Harry Potter series in my own answer, I really should have -- this series is incredible, and...you guessed it! I LOVE it!!! I wish I could attend Hogwarts, although I'm a Muggle, and not a teen, either! Lol. Anyway, this is a really GREAT choice!! I should be re-reading these books...I have so many new ones to read, though, and so many faves I want to re-read...

    Thanks for sharing!! : )
