We know Kate beheaded the numa leader, Lucien in the first book with help from her hunky revenant boyfriend in his volant state. This time the whole of the Paris Revenant community is in a disarray...after Lucien was taken down there have been almost zero activity in the numa department. So, Vincent has taken Kate to learn to fight and she is more than receptive of the idea. But what will she do with her boyfriend's revenant tendencies to sacrifice himself to save human life.....Kate knows she can't live forever and one day he will outlive her and she can't ask him to hold out when she knows what it will do to him. And who is the enemy this time....

Until I Die, is very much the connecting middle book with such a soul-sucking-awe-inspiring cover. This time around things are much more serious, much more passionate, both Kate and Vincent know whats's at stake, much more light is shed onto the revenant laws. All of Amy Plum's characters get a much wider reach to shine in this book, they are much more stronger. 

At one side is the hunky revenant Vincent, who loves Kate very dearly and would do anything to be with her and on one side is Kate, the human in the mix, she knows she can't take another death...even if it is temporary. The authoor is definitely not averse to using extreme plot twists....if the cliffhanger ending is any point to consider. If I Should Die....I definitely need it now...
